Remembering 'Snowzilla' Hits Reston Town Center: PHOTOS
It's a beautiful day today in Reston! Check out these photos taken one year ago in the Reston Town Center during the 'Blizzard of 2016'!
RESTON, VA — It's a beautiful day today in Northern Virginia! It's clear out with a high temperature expected near 48 degrees. Check out these photos taken on Jan. 23 and 24 last year in the Reston Town Center in the Blizzard of 2016! During the "Snowzilla" storm, snow accumulated in Reston to about 29 total inches, according to the National Weather Service. It took some time to dig out and meanwhile some Reston Town Center businesses stayed open for people who lived nearby and were brave enough to trudge through the snow!
Check out these photos of the Blizzard of 2016 that were posted on Reston Patch last year. To view more amazing photos, SEE:
Fortunately the weather has been mild so far in 2017. No snowfall is predicted in the National Weather Service's 7 day forecast and the expected high temperature tomorrow is 57 degrees! Quite a contrast from during the Blizzard of 2016, which had the second highest amount of total snow accumulation in the Dulles region since 1962!
