RCA Seeks Candidates To Run For 4 Open Board Seats

The Reston Citizens Association is holding elections May 27 for four seats on its board of directors. Candidate forms are due by May 24.

RESTON, VA — The Reston Citizens Association is holding elections May 27 for four district seats on its board of directors. Restonians interested in joining the RCA board need to file a completed candidate form by May 24.

The Reston Citizens Association, a nonprofit corporation, serves more than 60,000 people who live in Reston. Founded in 1967, RCA has a 13-member board of directors elected by Reston residents. Directors serve three-year terms.

"We have learned in recent years the importance of having an informed and involved community,” RCA President Dennis Hays said in a statement.

The four director seats up in the 2021 elections are Hunters Woods District, South Lakes District, and two at-large directors.

Interested Reston residents can download an application from the RCA website and fill it out. The completed application should be sent to Elections Chair Brian Steiner at briansteiner1@gmail.com.
