Reston Citizens Association Introduces 2021 Board Of Directors
Reston residents chose their representatives on the Reston Citizens Association Board of Directors during the May 27 election.
RESTON, VA — As of Tuesday, a new Board of Directors has taken the reigns of the Reston Citizens Association, according to an RCA release. The makeup of the board was announced after tallying results of the May 27 election.
The following are the RCA Board Appointments for 2021:
- Hunters Woods: Connie Hartke
- Town Center/Lake Anne/ Tall Oaks: Lynne Mulston and Craig Stevens
- North Point: Shawn Endsley and Brian Steiner
- South Lakes: Joe Leighton
- At-Large: Dennis Hays, Yavuz Inanli, Gary Maupin, and Vincent Dory
In addition, RCA revealed the 2021 officer nominations:

- President: Lynne Mulston
- Vice President: Gary Maupin
- Treasurer: Joe Leighton
- Secretary: Shawn Endsley
RCA is a nonprofit corporation that represents more than 60,000 people living in Reston. Residents elect the 13 members over the board, who serve three-year terms.
"Reston Citizens Association’s mission is to promote Reston’s vision and planning principles, to sustain and enhance its quality of life now and in the future, by serving as a non-partisan, action-oriented organization for all Restonians," said Mulston, the incoming president. "RCA takes a holistic approach to understanding the Reston community’s needs and desires and proposes results-oriented solutions. The passion and energy that this RCA board brings to advancing RCA’s mission is encouraging.”

Among the board's responsibilities are educating the community and monitoring issues that impact Reston's future. It as also engages and listens to the community in writing and public meetings, and represents Reston at local, county, and state level meetings.
