RESTON, VA — While three park-authority run farmers markets are opening in April, the Reston Farmers Market will be waiting until May to begin its 2021 season.

The farmers market will operate Saturdays from May 1 to Dec. 4, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The location is unchanged: 1609-A Washington Plaza at Lake Anne Village Center. Shoppers will find fresh produce, baked goods, meats and more at the farmers market. It is open to only vendors that grow or produce from everything from scratch to sell at the market.

COVID-19 health requirements will continue to protect customers, market staff and volunteers. Groups of shoppers will be limited to four people, and face masks are required for everyone over age 2. People should maintain six feet of distancing from other customers, vendors and market managers. Customers may not touch items, as vendors will bag all purchases. Anyone with symptoms of illness is asked to stay home. Online sales and contactless payments with credit or debit cards are encouraged.
