Reston Holiday Parade Earns Nod From USA Today
Reston's annual event was ranked among the newspaper's top 10 holiday parades.
RESTON, VA — Reston's annual holiday parade was recognized this week as one of the top holiday parades in the country, according to USA Today. Reston's event placed eighth on the newspaper's list of top 10 parades.
This year marked the 29th for the Reston Holiday Parade, which — in addition to the parade — features visits and photos with Santa, a tree lighting, a sing-along and horse-drawn carriage rides.
Reston placed just ahead of the Christmas Ships Parade in Portland, Oregon, and behind the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival in Chicago. Nabbing the top spot on the list was America's Thanksgiving Parade, held in Detroit.
