Reston Kabob To Reopen Jan. 27 On Sunrise Valley Drive
After waiting 4 1/2 years, kabob and gyro lovers in Reston will have something to celebrate as Reston Kabob reopens its doors on Monday.
RESTON, VA -- Kabob and gyro lovers of Reston, the wait is almost over. After 4 1/2 years, Reston Kabob is finally reopening its doors on Monday, Jan. 27, at 11830 Sunrise Valley Drive.
"The community knows us,"said restaurant manager Masoud Shoja. "I still see people out and about at Tysons and other places. They recognize me and they always mention, 'Hey, are you guys reopening?"
After launching the restaurant in 2003, Reston Kabob was forced to close its doors in July 2015, because the landlord was redeveloping the shopping center. Originally, the process was only supposed to take two or three years, but ended up taking a lot longer.

"We've been waiting around," Shoja said. "We had a strong following here in Reston, so we always wanted to reopen. We just waited until the landlord finished development so we could come back in."
Shoja described Monday's reopening as a "soft launch," allowing the staff to take a few days to iron out any kinks. "By mid-week, we should be good to go," he said.
