Reston Named #1 City for Tech Grads

RESTON, VA: Looking for a job in tech? While Silicon Valley and New York City tend to be thought of as the best places to work in tech, Reston was named as the #1 city in the country of the "10 Cities that are Secretly Great for Tech Grads," in a Datafox City Report.

"Reston’s tech scene offers Washington’s networking and growth opportunities, without the high cost of living," wrote Anisha Sekar, the author of the report.

According to the study, Reston ranks "well above average" for categories that are important to new graduates, including the metrics that Datafox examined: financial stability, mentorship opportunities, name recognition, and growth opportunities.

Reston is home to resident tech companies that have a strong growth potential and are "both influential and financially stable." It's tech companies have strong management teams, according to Datafox, which scored higher on their leadership metric than any other city in the top 10. Reston is also more affordable than nearby Washington, DC, the author noted.
