Reston Swim Team Association Swimmers Race to the Finish
Swimmers ages 6 to 18 competed in RSTA's third meet of the season on Saturday.

On Saturday, June 22, all Reston Swim Team Association (RSTA) teams competed in their third meets of the Summer 2019 season, arriving at the halfway point of this summer’s dual meet schedule. This weekend’s meets saw some close scores and new team records.
Jason Tipler of the Lake Newport Lightning swam the Boys 11-12 50 Meter Breaststroke in 39.68 seconds, beating the team record of 39.90 seconds previously set in 1995.
Swimmers on the Glade Dolphins set two new team records this week. The Glade Girls 13-14 200 Meter Medley Relay team of Kaitlin Mahon, Lauren Wagner, Megha Chava, and Amelia Pimentel beat the team record they previously set two weeks ago by 0.03 seconds with a time of 2:19.54. In addition, Griffith Knowlton set a new team record in the Boys 11-12 50 Meter Breaststroke with a time of 45.17 seconds, beating the previous record of 46.46 seconds set in 2018.
