Reston Tech Company Awarded $11.8M Government Contract
Based in Reston, Octo Consulting Group will provide framework, architecture services for the U.S. General Services Administration.
RESTON, VA—The General Services Administration has awarded Reston-based government technology company Octo Consulting Group an $11.8 million contract to support, address program wide challenges, and drive improvements by architecting, designing, developing, implementing, and operating GSA’s new, modernized System for Award Management SAM (SAM).
Octo will provide GSA with business, technical, and scaled Agile leadership required to execute the IAE Agile Release Train, address program challenges, and continuously drive business value, according to Octo Director for GSA Programs AJ Rowland.
“Octo has always emphasized the importance of emerging technologies and relentlessly invests to ensure we have the right technologies, partnerships, processes, and employees to lead modernization efforts such as IAE’s,” Rowland said in a news release. “We are excited to continue our successful partnership with GSA through this contract that enables us to impact the entire IAE program through architecture, governance, DevOps, and Agile process enhancements.”

Headquartered in Reston, Octo is a technology firm that works with the federal government to solve very complex challenges with artificial intelligence, blockchain, cybersecurity, cloud engineering and more.
