Reston Town Center Ice Skating Rink Opens

RESTON, VA — Strap on those skates, because the Reston Town Center ice skating pavilion is now open.

The pavilion, located in the heart of RTC, includes a skate shop with more than 500 pairs of skates ranging from size 8 toddler through men's size 13 in both figure and hockey styles.

The skating rink will be open at 11 a.m. every day, and will close from anywhere between 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., depending on the day of the week and whether it is during the holidays.

Beginners can sign up for learn-to-skate lessons for $125 for a four-week session. The training takes place Saturday mornings.

The price to skate is $10 for adults and $9 for children 11 and under. Skate rentals are $6.

You can get a 10-admission pack for $85 per person. The group rate for 10 or more people (which includes skate rental) is $12.

There will be weekly events at the ice skating rink, including Rock the Rink on Fridays, Cartoon Skate on Saturdays, and College Night on Thursdays.
