Seahawk Chorus Presents Broadway Night: Revivals on Feb 1 and 2

Join South Lakes High School Choral Department for the 14th annual Broadway Night with this year’s production titled Revivals featuring numbers from some of Broadway’s most popular revivals including songs from Pippin, Once On This Island, Chicago, Fiddler on the Roof, Guys and Dolls, Godspell and many more.

The Broadway revue style show features 16 Broadway numbers performed by more than 120 students from South Lakes High School and its pyramid schools including Langston Hughes and Rachel Carson Middle Schools, and Crossfield, Dogwood, Forest Edge, Hunters Woods, Lake Anne, Terraset, and Sunrise Valley Elementary Schools.

Performances will be on February 1 at 7 PM and February 2 at 2 PM and 7 PM in the Little Theatre at South Lakes High School in Reston, Virginia. Tickets will be available at the door for $18 for adults and $15 for students (under 18) and seniors (65+) or reduced-price advance tickets may be purchased online at https://southlakeschorus.org/tickets/. Advance tickets are $15 for adults and $13 for students and seniors.

South Lakes High School Choral students assume leadership roles in running every aspect of the show: performing, directing, production, technical theatre, publicity, costuming, choreography, all in a three-week period. Guidance and instruction is provided by highly qualified performing arts professionals and parent volunteers through Parents for Choral Arts and FCPS staff.

The show is co-directed by South Lakes Choral Directors Rita Gigliotti and Susan McCormick. Creative direction and support is provided by Suzy Alden, Carolyn Burke, Sean Cator (Louise Archer ES), Jenny Girardi, Sarah Milhoan (Langston Hughes MS), Ashley Wickerson and Grace Yakubisin. Technical support is provided by Kaiti Parrish (stage manager), Bob Brock (sound) and Erin Baynard (lighting) along with rising professional musicians from South Lakes High School and George Mason University led by Walter “Bobby” McCoy.
