South Lakes High Senior Gets Big Soccer Deal
Virginia Tech has snapped up Kahlil Dover, who plays the position of striker.

A senior at Reston's South Lakes High School will be playing soccer for Virginia Tech this fall.
Kahlil Dover, a striker who plays for the Braddock Road Youth Club, earned all-conference honorable mention honors in 2017 and has also played football and golf for SLHS, according to a Virginia Tech statement.
"I’m very pleased with the group of young men who committed to our program,” said Virginia Tech men's soccer coach Mike Brizendine in the statement. “Our recruiting philosophy here at Virginia Tech is to start with Virginia and work our way out from there. Our coaching staff worked hard to get some of the top kids in the state of Virginia. We were also able to get a good blend of experienced players. Filling in the void of 10 graduating seniors will be a challenge, but we are looking forward to seeing the immediate impact that our new players will have on our program."
