RESTON, VA — A Lorton man with reported neo-Nazi views who is accused of killing his girlfriend's parents in 2017 when he was 17 years old will be tried as an adult, according to a report.

The Washington Post reports that Nicholas Giampa, now 19, will not be tried as a juvenile in the shooting of 43-year-old Buckley Kuhn-Fricker and 48-year-old Scott Fricker shortly before Christmas in 2017.

A Fairfax County juvenile court judge also ruled that there was enough evidence against Giampa to send the case to a grand jury in the county's circuit court, according to the report.

Giampa reportedly shot himself after the shooting, but he survived.

His girlfriend's parents intervened in their relationship after discovering the boy's neo-Nazi views, according to reports, and eventually their daughter agreed not to see him anymore.

The boy also reportedly mowed a 40-foot swastika into a community field in Lorton earlier in the year. A Twitter account that was linked to him featured racist and bigoted views, particularly about Jews and transgendered people.

The alleged killer apparently came to the Fricker house armed to the teeth, as investigators found 10 cartridge cases, a knife, and a hammer at the scene, according to The Washington Post. Police believe the boy murdered the couple when they confronted him after he sneaked into their daughter's bedroom early that morning. There were blood stains on the walls and floors, as well as bullet fragments and holes in the office, ceiling, and hallway, according to search warrants.

"The preliminary investigation determined the suspect, who knows the residents of the home, got inside and was then confronted by the couple," police said in a statement. "The suspect shot them both and then himself. Four other family members who were home at the time of the shooting were not hurt."

One of the search warrants quoted by the Post states that there had been communication between Buckley Kuhn-Fricker and the family of the suspect, which may have been a text to the suspect's mother saying the two could no longer date.
