Town To Host 12th Annual Kid's Trout Fishing Derby
Stream behind Herndon Police Station to be stocked with fish for this event.

The Town of Herndon Parks and Recreation Department will host the 12th Annual Kid’s Trout Fishing Derby. Join this annual tradition at Sugarland Run Trail behind the Herndon Police Station, where the stream will be stocked with trout just for this event.
Limited fishing poles and bait will be available for use, and Trout Unlimited will be on site to help clean and store your catch. Teens and adults, ages 16 and up, must have a valid Virginia state fishing license to fish.

This event is sponsored jointly by the Parks and Recreation Department and the Herndon Friends of the Police.
WHO: For children, ages 2-15
WHEN: 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 14
WHERE: Behind the Herndon Police Station, 397 Herndon Parkway at the Sugarland Run Trail Stream.
COST: Pre-registration through 5 p.m. on March 13 is $6 per child. Day of event registration, on site is $10 per child (bring cash or check).
