Upcoming Snow Chances In Reston: Forecast

As winter settles in, when can we expect to see snow in our area?

RESTON, VA -- Once the excitement of the holidays are over and as we look to the new year, the big question on many people's minds in the Reston area is, when are we going to get snow? And there is a decent possibility that we'll see the white stuff coat the ground in the next couple weeks.

Snowflakes are actually possible on Sunday, but accumulation isn't likely, according to the Capital Weather Gang.

The Weather Channel suggests that we have a far better chance on Jan. 7-8, with intermittent snow showers possible on Jan. 7 and a stronger chance of accumulation on Jan. 8. However, at nearly two weeks out, these forecasts aren't something you want to bet on just yet. But it is something to keep an eye on.
