GREAT FALLS, VA — In honor of Historic Preservation Month, the Fairfax County Park Authority is offering a peek at ongoing preservation work underway at one of its historic properties —the Turner Farmhouse in Great Falls.

People taking part in the Thursday virtual watch party will be able to view a video tour of the farmhouse, which is being renovated as part of the county's Resident Curator Program. The video will examine the history of the property and the repairs the curator has completed since moving in.

Resident curators enter into a lease with the county and commit to rehabilitating the property in accordance with federal guidelines. In exchange, curators are allowed to occupy the property rent-free accommodation during the term of the lease.
