Walking in Reston to End Alzheimer's
Saturday's Northern Virginia Walk to End Alzheimer's will aid the growing number of families affected by disease.
Hundreds gathered at Reston Town Center Saturday for the 2013 Walk to End Alzheimer's Northern Virginia Walk and Candlelight Vigil.
The walk raised nearly $142,000 that will go towards research and programs for families affected by Alzheimer's.
South Lakes High School Senior Madi Cook raised $890 - about 500 percent more than her goal - for the effort.
