Arrest Made In Assault On Law Enforcement Officer In Richmond
Monday at approximately 7 p.m., officers were called to 200 block of Green Cove Drive for the report of an unauthorized use of a vehicle.

The U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force, with the assistance of the Richmond Police K-9 unit, have arrested the suspect who assaulted a Richmond Police officer on Monday.

Jacob Madden, 23, of Wingina, Virginia, was taken into custody today in Richmond without incident. He has been charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle and assault on a law enforcement officer.
Monday at approximately 7 p.m., officers were called to the 200 block of Green Cove Drive for the report of an unauthorized use of a vehicle by Madden. At approximately 8:34 p.m., officers were called again to the scene as Madden was reportedly on scene with the vehicle. Officers arrived and attempted to take Madden into investigative detention. Madden assaulted one of the officers and fled the scene on foot.
