Hopkins Road Transfer Station Reopens Soon

The Hopkins Road Transfer Station will fully re-open for business on Monday, March 16 at 6:30 a.m. Work to replace the tipping floor is complete.

The station at 3520 N. Hopkins Rd. has been only partially open since late October, when the two-phase project began to replace the floor. For those with dump-trailers who have been able to continue using the facility, it will close at noon on Saturday, March 14 so the floor apron can be asphalted.

Regular business hours at the transfer station are Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The facility is closed on Sunday and holidays.

With the transfer station fully operational as of Monday, regular hours also will resume at the East Richmond Road Convenience Center at 3800 East Richmond Road. Hours of operation there are Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday from 8:30 to 2 p.m. That facility also is closed on Sunday and holidays.
