Meet an “Amazing” With Astonishing Talent That Just Won’t Quit

Frances Wessells, 98, considered the Grande Dame of Richmond, VA, dance, founded the dance department at Virginia Commonwealth University. She's taught there, as well as at other institutions, ever since. She’s been a dance critic, choreographer, sculptress, and as a dancer, performed in places as far away as Paris, France, where it is said her performance in 2011 was so compelling, it drew tears from the audience. To this day, Frances teaches, choreographs and dances, and sees no reason to ever stop.
