Preschool Students Donate Dozens of Gifts to Children in Need

Students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Richmond held a gift drive in support of The Salvation Army's Angel Tree program

Students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool on Stony Point Road in Richmond recently presented a donation of gifts to The Salvation Army. Throughout December, students worked together to fulfill the wishes of 20 local children in need through The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program. Students collected more than 20 bags filled with gifts for the children. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of giving back to their community and helping others, especially during the holiday season.

The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program provides new clothes and toys for 1 million children who usually go without gifts during the holiday season. Anonymous donors adopt these little "angels" in an expanding holiday tradition that makes the season brighter for both the gift giver and receiver.
