RICHMOND, VA — A "Secret Santa" made the 2020 holiday season a bit easier for about 100 people who had layaway balances at a Walmart in Richmond.

The anonymous giver spent about $50,000 to pay off the remaining balances for about 100 customers who were paying off their layaway items at the Walmart Supercenter on Nine Mile Road, according to a report from 8News Richmond.

Felicia McKay, one of the Walmart customers the Secret Santa helped, told the news station she was "stunned." McKay was at the store to make a $130 payment on an item, only to find out it had already been taken care of.
