Roanoke County Government: Nighttime Road Closures (7/12/21-7/14/21): Route 649 Dry Hollow Road

Weather permitting, from Monday, July 12 through Wednesday, July 14, Route 649 (Dry Hollow Road) will be closed during nighttime hours, 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. for geotechnical testing. During this investigation, equipment must be placed in the roadway such that there may not be adequate room for vehicles to pass. Therefore, the roadway will be closed during the investigative activities but there will be pedestrian access through the work area. The anticipated work area and roadway closure is within the vicinity of the Norfolk Southern Railroad overpass on Dry Hollow Road near the intersection of West River Road. See the attached map for the closure location.

Fire and Rescue will be placing equipment beyond the railroad overpass during the night closures.
