The Fairfax County School Board voted unanimously at a Thursday meeting to change the name of Mosby Woods Elementary School in the Oakton area. The school references the Mosby Woods neighborhood, which was named after Confederate Col. John S. Mosby.
Southwest Virginia Leads More Urban NoVA In New Coronavirus Cases
The Virginia Department of Health reported 1,114 new cases of the coronavirus and 16 new deaths on Friday. The cumulative total of cases is 156,649, while 11,447 total hospitalizations and 3,344 deaths have been reported.
