Chess 4 Charity, Created by Kids 4 Kids, Raises $40,000
Next Event will be on April 6, 2019, in Fairfax Virginia, to support Children's Miracle Network Hospitals – We need your help to expand

Chess 4 Charity would like to announce its 2019 charity chess tournament, to be held on April 6, 2019, at 8900 Little River Turnpike, Fairfax, VA 22031 (the JCC).
All registration fees and profits will go directly to benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Minimum donation to play in the tournament is $45 before March 25 and $55 afterwards. 100% goes to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, so feel free to donate more.
There will be other activities at event, including chess coaches on site to give free tips and advice, a silent auction for charity, pizza & snacks, a “Simul” with local IM, and other activities for families.

All ages (preschool to adult) and all skill levels (beginner to master) are welcome. No chess tournament experience is necessary.
For those who know chess terminology, there will be 2 USCF rated Sections, Open (1500 floor), and U1600, plus a non-rated section for beginners. Time Control is SS4 G/25, d3 (Quick Rated).
Chess 4 Charity is also seeking to help kids and teens nationwide gain leadership and community service experience by starting their own Chess4Charity event in their own hometowns. Chess 4 Charity is a 501c3 non-profit created in 2011 by two then-elementary school kids (now in high school) - Gabrielle Heller & her brother Garrett Heller - to fundraise for other children’s charities.Since inception, Chess 4 Charity has held five semi-annual events, and raised over $40,000 for a variety of children’s charities, including Ronald McDonald House, the Childhood Brain Tumor Foundation, Red Cross Hurricane Sandy Relief and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
