Free Bikeshare Rides Offered On Sept. 20 In Tysons

TYSONS, VA — Capital Bikeshare is marking its ninth anniversary with free rides on Friday, Sept. 20 in Tysons and other places with stations.

The bikeshare network serving the DC region announced the offer for unlimited 30-minute Capital Bikeshare rides all day. Typically a single ride up to 30 minutes is $2, and a day pass is $8. The pass will be valid from 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 20.

To redeem the offer, download the Capital Bikeshare app, select the "24-Hour Pass" and enter promo code 9THBDAY. If you don't already have an account, a valid credit card is required to sign up.

Capital Bikeshare allows riders to rent and return bikes at any of its stations. The network most recently expanded to Falls Church over the summer. It has over 550 stations and serves Alexandria, Washington, DC Arlington County, Falls Church, Fairfax County, Montgomery County, Maryland, and Prince George's County, Maryland. The service is operated by Lyft.
