Free Christmas Village Is Open In Tysons

TYSONS, VA—In between holiday parties and the rush to finish Christmas shopping, check out McLean Bible Church's second annual Christmas village. The walk-through attraction with plenty of fun features runs through Dec. 16. Best of all, it's free.

With food, activities and live entertainment, there's plenty of things to help you get in the Christmas spirit. Some of the event features are:

• Christmas Café: dinner and desserts served
• Penguin Playground, Candy Land and Noah’s Ark: a giant obstacle course, inflatable bouncy houses, crafts, face painting and more
• Operation Christmas Child Packing Party: packing shoebox gifts for needy kids in the DC area. Attendees are asked to bring a new toy donation.
• Christmas Circus – Special Event Uni-Show: the World Champion Unicyclist will show off some dazzling tricks
• Main Street: See Christmas lights and fun characters, write a postcard to our U.S. Troops and other activities
• World Bazaar: Handmade gifts for purchase supporting ministries focused on combating poverty through the local church and entrepreneurial efforts. Most objects will be made by people from different regions of the world including Latin America, Asia and Africa. 

• Portrait & Selfie Studio: Family portraits and selfies available with props and backdrops
• Christmas Show: sing along with favorite Christmas songs
• A Christmas Carousel: Ride an old-time carousel
• Live Nativity: A live depiction of the birth of Jesus

The Christmas Village runs weekdays 6 p.m.-9 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 16 3 p.m.-7 p.m. There will be a sensory-friendly time from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. Saturday for those with special needs.
