National Night Out, Soccer Registration and Songs for Kids

What you need to know in Tysons this week.

Each Monday, Tysons Corner Patch brings you what you need to know for the coming week. 

National Night Out takes place on Tuesday. The nationwide event will be celebrated by neighborhoods hosting block parties across Fairfax County, demonstrating neighborhoods'  commitment to continue a partnership with local police and commitment to fighting crime. To learn more, visit Fairfax County's National Night Out website. 

One Man Band Peter McCory will perform for preschoolers at Tysons Pimmit Regional Library from 7 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 5, 2013.

Donate books CDs, DVDs and software Saturday for the McLean Area American Association of University Women’s (AAUW) Annual Book Collection at SunTrust Bank from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 515 Maple Avenue East. The sale takes place Sept. 20-22 at the McLean Community Center. Proceeds go toward scholarships and professional development for women and girls.

McLean Youth Soccer: Sign up now for a Shooting and Finishing Camp for Travel players — MYS Shooting and Finishing Camp, taking place August 12- 16, from 6 to 8:30 p.m., for ages children under age 9 (U9) to U12 and U13 - U16 (Travel Players Only) at Spring Hill Rec # 3. Fee is $180 per player; register at www.mcleansoccer.org!
