March 09, 2021

Students in the Leadership class at South Lakes High were so inspired by many other schools who beautified bathrooms stalls to make their schools more inviting that the group made it one of its leadership goals last year. Because of the pandemic, students couldn’t complete the project in spring 2020, so they were thrilled this year when principal Kim Retzer allowed the students to start painting. This project was a group effort between the blue and green teams. The Campus Environment Commission committee was led by Annika Yu, Michael Watkins, and Hannah Riso, who were joined by team members Taylor McGinnis, Ariana Inamdar, and Quinn Kamenick, plus 15 student volunteers.
