Virginia Law Foundation Appoints New Board Member

Michael Robinson, a partner in the Commercial Litigation Practice joins,, the Board of Directors for the Virginia Law Foundation.

From Venable: Venable LLP, an American Lawyer Global 100 law firm, announced today that Michael Robinson, a partner in the Commercial Litigation Practice in the firm’s Tysons Corner office, has been selected to the Board of Directors for the Virginia Law Foundation.

Mr. Robinson will serve a three-year term on the Board of Directors for the Virginia Law Foundation. The philanthropic arm of Virginia’s bar, the foundation has provided more than $24 million in grants supporting projects that facilitate access to justice, improving the administration of justice, and promoting law-related education.

Mr. Robinson also currently serves as president of the Virginia State Bar, an agency of the Supreme Court of Virginia, and serves as a delegate in the American Bar Association’s House of Delegates.

Mr. Robinson brings 30 years of broad litigation experience to resolving business disputes. His practice focuses on commercial disputes, business torts, legal malpractice defense, and the protection of intellectual property rights. In addition, his practice emphasizes litigation in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and the local state courts in Northern Virginia.
