Angelika Film Center At Mosaic District To Reopen
The movie theater is reopening for the first time since mid-March.
MERRIFIELD, VA — Angelika Film Center & Cafe, a cinema showing independent, art, and specialty films, is reopening at the Mosaic District on Friday, Aug. 28. The movie theater has been closed since March 17, just before Virginia's coronavirus-related business closures were required.
The reopening will come with a number of health and safety protocols in accordance with federal, state and local guidelines. Face masks are required and must be worn in all areas, except when eating or drinking. Auditoriums will have reduced seating capacity to ensure at least six feet of distancing between parties. The facility has upgraded filters in HVAC systems to improve air quality. Staff will perform enhanced cleaning and sanitization, especially for high-touch areas. All seats will be sanitized after use.
Guests are asked to maintain six feet from others in queues for the box office, kiosks, restrooms and concessions. Access to water fountains, vending machines and arcade games is temporarily unavailable.
