Animal Control Reports: Dog Bite, Sick Raccoon

 The following animal reports were included in this week’s Vienna Police reports.

3:56 p.m. Sept. 28 in the 140 block of Park Street SE: An employee reported that while attempting to perform a medical treatment on a dog he was bit on the hand. Sgt. Farhan responded and spoke with the owner of the dog. The owner was informed of the quarantine process and agreed to comply by keeping the dog at home. ACO Barker will follow up with this case.

Noon, Sept. 29 in the 900 block of Myers Circle SW: A resident reported that a raccoon had been in the backyard of the residence and appeared to be sick. ACO Barker responded and determined that the raccoon could not be saved.
