Bazin’s on Church to Host First Pop-Up Gluten-Free Night in Vienna

VIENNA, VA -- Inspired by a recent diagnosis of Celiac disease, Chef Patrick Bazin will hold a first-ever “Pop-Up Gluten-Free Night” on Friday, Feb. 17 at his restaurant Bazin's on Church in Vienna.

Growing up in New Jersey, Chef Patrick had a love for gluten-filled Jersey foods, like pizza and pasta, he said Wednesday. After being diagnosed, he was forced to change his food choices. After a lot of research and taste testing, Chef was determined to create recipes that would be just as fulfilling and delicious as the other menu items that customers have enjoyed over the years. Being the owner, and head chef of Bazin’s on Church, he also needed to be able to try to the foods that came out of his kitchen.

Today, more than ever, people are discovering they are gluten intolerant, and going out to eat is not as easy as it used to be. Chef Patrick wants to change that.

He has now transformed more than half of the regular menu into Gluten-Free. “Instead of just protein and salad, I wanted to create dishes where you can still get a full composed, thought out meal with your protein, vegetable, starch and sauce,” said Chef Patrick.

The Pop-Up Gluten Free Night menu will feature some of Chefs favorite homemade recipes including:

• Butter Poached Monkfish with Lobster Potato Hash and Lobster Bisque Sauce
• Grilled Creekstone Farms Skirt Steak with Chimichurri Sauce, Fried Plantains, Black Beans and Rice

Every item on the Pop Up menu will be 100 percent gluten-free.

Bazin’s on Church is hosting this event in their private event space, Bazin’s Next Door, located right next door like the name suggests. Chef is excited to introduce this night of Gluten-Free options to showcase how versatile and delicious this lifestyle can be. “Pop-Up Nights” at Bazin’s are always fun, and family friendly.
