Business Appreciation Month 2021 Recognized In Vienna
The month-long initiative will feature business awards, store promotions, and town activities.

VIENNA, VA — The Town of Vienna Economic Development Office will once again recognize Virginia Business Appreciation Month will month-long initiatives
Business Appreciation Month was also recognized in 2020 as businesses navigated challenges related to the COVID-19 pandemic. This year's campaign will feature community awards, store promotions, and other town activities.
"Every opportunity to support our business community in a unique and creative way is valuable," said Economic Development Manager Natalie Monkou in a statement. "Through this initiative, we are aiming not only to spotlight businesses in Vienna, but to also share their unique stories as they continue navigating the health crisis."

Residents can nominate their favorite businesses for the Virtual Business Awards. Categories for awards include Entrepreneur of the Year, Excellence in Customer Service, and Give Back Service Award. Nominations will be accepted through May 24, and winners will be announced on May 28.
Another award will celebrate an employee who has gone above and beyond. Businesses or residents can nominate an employee they believe has made a difference or been innovative. The Economic Development Office will recognize each #ViennaChangemaker from local businesses throughout the month on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Nominations are due by May 24.

Businesses are also encouraged to share in store-promotions and live activations, such as musical performances, art events, and scavenger hunts during Business Appreciation Month. Businesses can fill out a form by May 24 for the Economic Development Office to promote their activities.
Residents are encouraged to check the Business Appreciation Month website for events that will support local businesses. One of these activities is the Vienna Business Association's Vienna Local Business Bingo from April 25 to May 24. Residents can complete the bingo card with business-related challenges for a chance to win prizes from local businesses. Winners will be announced during the entertainment at ViVa Vienna on May 29 to 31. Attendance will not be required, and all winners will be contacted.
Other activities shared so far are the Language of the Flowers Virtual Tea on May 15 and ViVa Vienna festival from May 29 to May 31.
