Caffe Amouri Encourages Giving With 'Cup On The Wall' Initiative
Customers are encouraged to pay it forward by purchasing a drink for someone to redeem as a gift.

VIENNA, VA — At Vienna's Caffe Amouri, the motto remains "Where Coffee Meets Community." Even as the coffee shop keeps the interior closed to customers for safety reasons, it is finding ways to maintain that sense of community.
A new initiative called "Cup on the Wall" encourages customers to pay it forward to others supporting the business. Customers can purchase a drink for themselves and second drink to be "a cup for the wall." A note for that second drink will be displayed on the wall, and another customer can redeem it as a gift.
Owner Michael Amouri told Patch in an email the pay it forward concept aims to get people to reach beyond their own lives.
