Chillin' On Church Block Parties: Schedule, Food Truck Details

The block parties feature music, food trucks and alcohol sales along Church Street.

VIENNA, VA—The Town of Vienna is bringing back Chillin' on Church block parties this summer. The free events are held each third Friday of the month from June to September. The dates for 2019 are June 21, July 19, Aug. 16 and Sept. 20.

As the name suggests, Chillin' on Church takes place on Church Street between Dominion and Mill Roads from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Residents can bring blankets and chairs but should leave pets at home.

Chillin' on Church is held in conjunction with the Summer on the Green concerts. The first event on June 21 features The Deja Gruv Band performing a mix of rhythm and blues, funk, and soul.

Food trucks will provide the grub, while beer and wine sales will be available to those over 21 with ID. Food truck offerings will be different for each block party.

  • NC Ribs on Wheels: BBQ, ribs, turkey legs, and more

  • Tapas Truck DC: Spanish-style tapas and sandwiches
  • Urban Bumpkin BBQ: BBQ fusion
