Coronavirus Testing Events Planned In Vienna, Dumfries

VIENNA, VA — The lieutenant governor campaign of Sean Perryman will host free testing events in Vienna and Dumfries on two upcoming Saturdays. Vaccinations will be provided to eligible preregistered individuals at the Vienna event.

The events in coordination with Inspire Diagnostics will provide no-cost COVID-19 testing to individuals who sign up. Tests are free regardless of insurance.

The two events are the first of a series of free testing events the campaign will hold with Inspire Diagnostics around Virginia. Perryman, the president emeritus of the Fairfax County Chapter of the NAACP, is one of the candidates running for lieutenant governor in the June 8 Democratic primary election.

"We’ve seen what can happen when quick testing isn’t available for everyone, but instead only available for those with the resources to be prioritized," said Perryman in a statement. "Even now as more and more Virginians receive the vaccine, it’s imperative that our communities continue to get tested and ensure we stop the spread of the virus until we achieve full vaccination."

  • March 20, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Vienna, 450 Orchard St NW Vienna, VA 22180
  • March 27, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Little Union Baptist, 17150 Mine Rd, Dumfries, VA 22025

Preregistration is available for the Vienna testing event on March 20 at inspirediagnostics.com/perryman. Check back for registration for the Dumfries event at the link.

First Baptist Church of Vienna will provide the COVID-19 vaccine to eligible preregistered members of the community with the goal of helping underrepresented groups access the vaccine. Residents of Fairfax County 65 and older or 18 and older with CDC-defined underlying conditions can register for an appointment.
