Food Trucks, Other Details Set For August Chillin' On Church

VIENNA, VA — The Town of Vienna will host the next Chillin' on Church block party on Friday, Aug. 16 from 6:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m. Admission is free.

The block parties join Summer on the Green concerts with food trucks, as well as beer and wine sales. Big Bad Juju will provide the entertainment with rock and dance tunes.

Festivities happen on Church Street between Dominion and Mill Roads. Attendees can bring blankets and lawn chairs, but pets should be left at home. Guests will be eligible to win a gift card from Caffe Amouri, Rita's or Bards Alley by taking a Vienna parks and recreation survey at the information tent.

Eleven food trucks are expected to take part in Chillin' on Church. This list is subject to change.

• Ben & Jerry’s: ice cream
• The Big Cheese: gourmet grilled cheese
• Capital Chicken and Waffles
• Crepe Love: savory and sweet crepes
• Eastern Star Catering: Greek festival food and funnel cakes
• Kona Ice of North Fairfax County: shaved ice
• Ooh Dat Chicken: rotisserie chicken and tacos
• PhoWheels: Vietnamese sandwiches, tacos, and soup
• Red Hook Lobster Pound Food Truck
• Tapas Truck DC: Spanish-style tapas and sandwiches
• Urban Bumpkin BBQ: smoke pork belly sandwiches, BBQ salmon, flatbread tacos

The beer are wine vendors are:

• Caboose Brewing Company: Serving Vienna VA Lager, Wasser Pilsner
• Virginia Eagle Distributing: Serving a variety of beers
• Vienna Vintner: Serving hand-selected red, chilled white, chilled rosé, fresh sangria

Chillin' on Church is sponsored by Ben and Jerry's. The last block party for the year will happen on Sept. 20.
