Langley Lacrosse Coach Earl Brewer Retires After 21 Seasons, 4 State Titles, 325 Wins

Brewer, who arrived at LHS in 1995, is the winningest public school lacrosse coach in Virginia High School League history.

Earl Brewer has coached lacrosse from its days as a sport lost in the shuffle to its current state as an athletic institution in the Northern Virginia region.

Now, 30 years after the start of his coaching career, and 21 seasons after his debut campaign as coach of the Langley Saxons, Brewer is retiring, the Washington Post has reported.

Brewer made the announcement in an open letter to parents and the school community, the Post reported, and the move was attributed in large part to Brewer’s desire to watch his son play his senior season at Chantilly High School.
