Madison Lacrosse Teams Claim District Championship Titles

The Warhawks were victorious in the girls and boys district championship games on Wednesday.

VIENNA, VA—The Madison High School girls and boys lacrosse teams captured the district championship titles Wednesday. Both teams beat Oakton High School in the championship game after beating Chantilly High School in the semifinals.

The girls team won 10-6. Among the highlights of the game were:

  • Freshman Jordan Condon scored three goals and won 11 draws
  • Senior Bailey Brummer scored three goals
  • Junior Maddie Garner had one goal, one assist and won two draws
  • Senior Grace McDonough scored two goals
  • Senior Olivia Choutka had one goal
  • Junior Kelly Hager made seven saves

The boys team had an 11-6 victory to win the third district title in school history. (See a full recap of the game from one of our Patch contributors.)

As the Concorde District champions, the Warhawks will advance to regionals. The first games will be held Monday, May 20 at 5:30 p.m. for the girls team and 7:30 p.m. for the boys team.
