Vienna Shooting Victim Dies, Police Investigation Continues

The victim had been taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to Vienna Police.

VIENNA, VA — The Thursday, June 10 shooting in Vienna has turned fatal, according to Vienna Police.

The victim in the shooting died of his injuries on June 14. He was only identified as a 21-year-old man.

In the early morning hours, Vienna officers responded to the 100 block of Patrick Street SE. Officers found a male victim inside an apartment with a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police do not believe there is a further threat to public safety at this time.

Vienna detectives were interviewing witnesses who were on scene, and the Fairfax County Police Crime Scene Section is processing the scene and providing assistance. Detectives are actively pursuing leads and ask for information from the public.
