Summer Wraps Up With Last Chillin' On Church In Vienna

The last block party of the year promises music, food trucks, beer and wine.

VIENNA, VA — Before we say goodbye to summer, the last Chillin' on Church will take place Friday, Sept. 20 in Vienna. The free block party runs from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. along Church Street.

Chillin' on Church combines musical performances with food trucks as well as beer and wine sales. Hard Swimmin’ Fish will take the stage to perform funk-infused blues. According to the band's website, spectators are encouraged to bring their dancing shoes and a partner.

Beer and wine will be available from Virginia Eagle Distributing, Caboose Brewing Company and Vienna Vintner. Only those 21 and over with photo identification will be allowed to purchase alcohol.

The event will also deliver a wide variety of food trucks (subject to change):

  • Ben & Jerry’s: ice cream
  • The Big Cheese: gourmet grilled cheese
  • Capitol Snow: shaved ice
  • CapMac: gourmet mac & cheese
  • Danibelle’s Lebanese Cuisine: sandwiches and sides, vegan options
  • DC Slices: pizza
  • N.C. Ribs on Wheels: BBQ, turkey legs, ribs
  • PhoWheels: Vietnamese sandwiches, tacos, and soup
  • Red Hook Lobster Pound: lobster and shrimp rolls
  • Tapas Truck DC: Spanish-style tapas and sandwiches
  • Urban Bumpkin BBQ: smoked pork belly sandwiches, BBQ salmon, flatbread tacos

Attendees may bring blankets and chairs to the event. Pets should be left at home. Accessible parking is available at the Town Green/W&OD Trail between Church Street and Maple Avenue.
