Sunshine Turns to Showers, Rain Here to Stay: Weekly Weather Forecast

Following the area’s second sunny weekend in a row, Vienna residents are in for a wet week ahead.

A hot and sunny Monday is expected to turn into a rainy Tuesday, and that rain should stay in the region throughout the rest of the week. Showers and storms will remain in the forecast each day until Friday, when the sunshine is forecast to return.

The rain won’t cool down the area much, with high temperatures slated in the high-80s throughout the week despite the wet weather.

Tuesday night: Scattered showers and thunderstorms before midnight, then isolated showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69. South wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Wednesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 87. South wind 5 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.

Wednesday night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
