Thousands Without Power, Tree Takes Down Power Line In Vienna

BREAKING: Outages and at least one downed tree have been reported in Vienna.

6:50 p.m. update: Just hundreds remain without power in Vienna.

VIENNA, VA—Thousands of outages and at least one downed tree and power line are impacting Vienna after Tuesday's thunderstorm.

The outages are affecting all sections of town. As of 4:30 p.m., Dominion Energy's outage map identified 2645 outages in the Town of Vienna. Crews are working in the southwest area where 1,224 customers are out.

The storm also brought down a tree and power line on Moore Avenue. According to town officials, the block of Moore between Center and Spring streets is closed until Dominion Energy can address the downed power line and the town can clean up the downed tree.
