The nearly eight-acre property at 10231 Leesburg Pike in Vienna had been owned by the same family that operated the 19th century Colvin Run Mill during its peak era. Now it's on sale for the asking price of $3.5 million.
Samuel Millard bought the land in 1915, which is not far from Colvin Run Mill. His parents Addison and Emma began operating the mill in 1883. The family became well known for their community gatherings, and often stored families' important documents in the mill's safe. After Addison's death in 1898, Samuel helped operate the mill he sold it in 1934.

The Vienna listing is the last remaining part of the Millard family's 40-acre farm called Windswept. The farm was split in the 1940s for the realignment of Leesburg Pike.
