Vienna Restaurants Donate 900 Meals To Inova Fairfax Hospital

Community members are coming together to support essential workers during the new coronavirus pandemic.

VIENNA, VA – Community members are coming together to support essential workers during the new coronavirus pandemic, as donations pour in to provide meals for those who are working nonstop.

On Tuesday, the Social Burger and the Sandwich Shop donated 150 meals to the Laboratory Department at the Inova Fairfax Hospital. They originally had a goal of donating 900 meals to coronavirus frontline workers and first responders and have received lots of local support, including from CrossFit Mill Street, who hosted a community-wide open workout on Monday and asked members to donate a meal after their workout. CrossFit Mill Street also donated $2 for every person who attended their virtual sessions that day.

According to their Facebook post on Tuesday, they have hit that 900 meal goal. They have temporarily stopped selling their Frontline and First Responder Meals until they identify the next donation.
