View Artist Diaa Bekheet's Paintings At Village Green Gallery

The award-winning multimedia journalist and self-taught artist's work will debut in Vienna Feb. 2.

VIENNA, VA — On Feb. 2, the Vienna Arts Society unveils a jazz-inspired exhibit of abstract pieces created by award-winning multimedia journalist and self-taught artist Diaa Bekheet. According to the arts society, Bekheet's artist inspiration stems from his uncle whose paintings are hanging in Musee Calvet next to Paul Cezanne’s in Aix-en-Provence, Southern France.

Bekheet has been painting intermittingly ever since graduating from college in 1982. He hosted hundreds of jazz shows during his career, which fueled his desire to paint jazz-inspired pieces. His exhibit can be seen through April 10 at the Village Green Gallery, 513 Maple Ave. West. The gallery is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
