Residents should avoid driving in certain areas as festival gets underway.

Some road closures begin Friday night to accomodate the trucks, carnival rides and tents that, overnight, transform the center of town for one of its most iconic events of the year.

Here's what you need to know:
-Church Street, from Dominion Road to Mill Street: Closed 10 p.m. Friday until 6 p.m. Monday
-Church Street, from Lawyers Road to Dominion Road: Closed 4 a.m. Sunday until 6 p.m. Monday
-Mill Street, from Church Street to Maple Avenue: Closed 4 a.m. Sunday until 6 p.m. Monday
-Dominion Road, from Church Street to Ayr Hill Avenue: Closed 4 a.m. Sunday until 6 p.m. Monday
-Dominion Road: Also closed 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday for the Evolution 5K Run.
