William Green of Vienna, Virginia passed away on Sept. 17, 2015. He was born on Dec. 26, 1937, in the Bronx, N.Y.

Green was the beloved husband of 48 years to Antoinette; devoted father of Nancy Green, Julie (Andrew) Cooke and Matthew Green; loving grandfather of Kyle, Nathaniel, Matthew, Isabelle and Aidan; brother of Raymond (Kathy) Green and the late Anne (Kenneth) App.

A graduate of The State University of New York at Buffalo, Green served over 33 years with the U.S. Customs Service with assignments in New York, California, the Mexican and Canadian Borders, U.S. Customs Headquarters in Washington, D.C., and the Port of Washington/Dulles.

He started his career as a Special Agent and was promoted through the ranks as District and Regional Director, Deputy Assistant Commissioner for Enforcement, Assistant Commissioner of Internal Affairs and ended his career as the Port Director of Washington/Dulles.

After retiring, he formed International Field Consultants, LLC, and worked in International Trade for 17 years.

Family will receive friends at the Money and King Funeral Home, 171 Maple Ave West, Vienna, Va., on Thursday, Oct. 1 from 4-8 p.m. Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, Oct. 2 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Chapel, 8601 Wolftrap Rd, Vienna, Va.
