Wolf Trap Cancels Fall Live Shows, Offers Virtual Alternatives
Although live shows won't happen this fall, Wolf Trap has virtual performances and other resources.

VIENNA, VA — Wolf Trap has cancelled its fall 2020 live performance season at the Barns at Wolf Trap, including Chamber Music at The Barns concerts. The Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts cited circumstances related to the pandemic.
The foundation previously canceled the summer concert season at the Filene Center, Children's Theatre-in-the-Woods and The Barns at Wolf Trap for the first time in nearly 50 years. Barns at Wolf Trap shows in 2020 are listed on Wolf Trap's website as rescheduled for 2021 dates, postponed, or canceled. Anyone who purchased tickets for events rescheduled for fall 2020 will be contacted by email.
"The Foundation is enormously thankful for the continued generosity and support from our donors, patrons, and community as we navigate these challenging times together," reads a statement from Wolf Trap. "We look forward to gathering in person again in celebration of the performing arts, when it is safe to do so."

Although live concerts are paused for the time being, Wolf Trap has offered a sold-out drive-in movie series, on-demand and streaming performances called Wolf Trap Sessions and other initiatives. The foundation is offering online educational resources for families with young children, a reimagined Wolf Trap Opera summer residency program to develop emerging talent and Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning Through the Arts' educator training through digital platforms. These efforts tie into several Wolf Trap Sessions series: the Park Pop-Up performances featuring local artists, UNTRAPPED Online with performances from Wolf Trap Opera, and family-friendly Field Trip Fridays.
The Wolf Trap Sessions schedule includes:
